Navigate our site

When Shuttles opened in1992, its focus was to provide a strong educational program in knitting, weaving and spinning. Today our classes have expanded to include crochet, tatting, basketry and felting. We also offer special classes from fiber teachers from around the country.

Our shop and classroom space cover more than 8,000 square feet chock full of colorful yarns, patterns, buttons, dyes, books, just about anything your heart may desire.

We work very hard at providing the materials and necessary support for our students and customers. We have teaching as our first love so it's easy to keep that priority. Almost all of our employees in the shop also teach classes and in the course of a regular day a lot of extra teaching is done - from showing someone the Kitchener stitch to explaining what a yo means.

Oh! What a friendly dog! Come in and meet shop dog Brigit.

We've learned that customers enjoy seeing finished products rather than samples so, while we have sample swatches of yarns knit and /or crocheted, we have many completed products using the most popular yarns

Community Knitting

Our Community Knitting Program provides a fun, social meeting place for those who knit while serving a wonderful cause. We welcome all knitters to join us in the fun of knitting for others. Yarn and patterns provided. Please check our website for details of each month’s project.
We will be on vacation until September 16, see you then! Web site: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ communityknitting/

Come in and relax! We invite you to come in, take a class, ask some questions, or just say hi. We are here because we love to teach.
